What is Asset Tokenization
Asset tokenization is the process of converting the ownership rights of an asset, whether tangible or intangible, into digital tokens that are stored and traded on a blockchain network.
This process involves creating a digital representation of the asset and dividing it into individual, non-divisible parts called tokens.
These tokens can be bought, sold, and traded on blockchains using smart contracts, which automatically enforce the terms of the contract, including dividend payments and voting rights if applicable.
The use of blockchain technology ensures secure record-keeping, transparency, and decentralization, while also guaranteeing the immutable ownership rights of each token holder
